The R series has quite a good following. Reviews seem good!


For most of BMW's early history, bikes were their bread & butter. Must have been half decent?

BMW bikes were once a byword for solid reliability with the odd go faster one. Unlike Jap stuff, they were never just scrapped but kept going. Still loads of seventies bikes still chugging along.

I started looking at them for a cheap/easy project to chip away at and it was something that would fit in the pillbox outside (breeze block shed). Too expensive for someone without a motorbike license.
