BMW bikes were once a byword for solid reliability with the odd go faster one. Unlike Jap stuff, they were never just scrapped but kept going. Still loads of seventies bikes still chugging along.

I started looking at them for a cheap/easy project to chip away at and it was something that would fit in the pillbox outside (breeze block shed). Too expensive for someone without a motorbike license.

EVERYBODY I have ever known with a 'boxer' BMW has been a wrong'un with 'the look' :)

My dad had a R90 S in the mid 70s - must be where I get my wrongness from! :D
