It would be daft not to change the sump gasket with the engiune out as it will be impossible to do when it's fitted, and V12 sump gaskets do like to fail. You'd probably get away with an E28 535i rad to start with The V12 isn't that big (no longer than an M20) and because it's a narrow angle V, not particularly wide either.
Bollocks to 6 speeds - I'd be sticking with the 4 speed switchable Auto! Stick it in D at the lights and just floor it. 0-100 in about 13 secs, no lifting off, no gearchanging. Sweet.
