The horn is an alarm for the code function of the OBC.

excellent! one last thing, where the wire go's through the bulk head there is a 2 pin plug that sits just next to the fusebox,on its way towards the temp sensor etc... any ideas what this is for? thanks alot by the way!

There's a plug which fits a 2 pin socket with green wires for the immobiliser function. The plug on the car loom will either already be connected to a (much better) immobiliser or still have the factory jumper wire across the terminals (it's effectively a neat pre-made break in the fuel pump circuit). IMO, leave the function on the OBC disabled by not plugging that connection.
