Hi, I have just managed to get my e30 cab on the road. Now I'm finding that it had a blown fuse in slot 17 (electric windows). I replaced the fuse several days ago and it's blown once again.
Any ideas as to the fault, sorry for scant information.

Usual problem is metallic debris inside one of the window switches.

Hi flute I got the same problem I posted and got a few replies on a thread in the week, I replaced my window isolator switch and that solved part of the problem the next I was advised that a green wire off the starter motor could be corroded and may need to be replaced I haven't checked this myself and there are two fuses 17 & 28

Both these faults will result in no power reaching the windows, but neither will blow fuse 17.
