Anyone have any advice on how to fit an e36 aircon rad in a pre facelift chromie? Searched and found plenty about mounting in facelift cars, but nothing on chromies.

As the mounts are in a different place on a pre-facelift car its not the same, I just space up the rubber feet by about 15mm and put a nut/bolt through them

I must be missing a shed load of brackets then.

This is how the e36 rad sits at the top - no brackets

This is the bottom of the e36 rad - no brackets

This are the mounting points I have

The bottom pic is what I was on about, raise them up to get the rad at the correct height.
Facelift plastic clamp on the top to hold it to the front panel

My prefacelift has an M20 fitted with an E36 aircon rad, can just make out the clamp Dan has posted in the pic below. I just raised the rad using some old head bolt washers under the rubber mounts but on top of the tabs on the front panel;

Ah, so it's just resting on the bottom rubbers?

EBay search for that plastic clamp begins :-)

When you ordered yours, did you get the little rubber mounts too, should be two?

I only ask as im missing one and will probably need to go to the dealers.

No rubber bits, just 1 piece of molded plastic.

Worked out that I too needed the rubber mounts, so had them ordered in as well. Part number 17111150984 x 2 at a cost of £5.60 plus VAT.

Radiator fitted tonight. :D
