Hi all,
Had MOT recently and the guy said that it only just passed on the brake roller tests and the handbrake tests.
I checked all the brake components before MOT and the discs and pads are only about a 1/4 worn. The handbrake shoes looked in good condition too.
What else can I look at? When driving it certainly stops fine for me so not sure why it only just passed.

The handbrake will need adjusting through the hole in the disks not at the cables inside which is an easy job and covered in the wiki.

I am assuming yours is a rear disc setup.

Are you saying the normal road brakes only just passed, or just the handbrake?
The braking requirements for the foot brakes required by a MOT test are very low, bordering on dangerous, and any near failure needs urgent investigation.
There are well known reasons for BMW handbrakes being poor, usually as a result of incompetent servicing.
