Hey guys,
Can anyone advise on the quickest way to swap out my injectors on a 320i?
Do I really have to remove the inlet manifold, or can I just wiggle them and the rail free without?
I googled it and couldn't find a guide..

No need or advantage in removing the manifold. Flip all the wire clips completely off of the electrical connectors and then the whole electrics rail will pull free.

You will need to undo the rubber breather hose that connects to the rocker cover, and you might find it easier to disconnect the C191 plug that's under the inlet manifold if you're having trouble getting the loom out of the way of the injector rail.
With them out of the way, you just undo the two fuel pipes and the nuts holding the rail to the inlet manifold, and then prise it off.

When you press the injectors back in, you have to have then all horizontal; you can't press one end in and then the other, as it'll twist and kink the o-rings. It's just a matter of prising them out and back in until they're all seated correctly.

Are you lubricating the O rings properly?

I was putting a finger-tip of engine oil on them before pressing them into place - however I was putting them in the head and then pressing the fuel rail down onto them, rather than putting them in the rail and then all in at once. I'll give it another try. 5 are perfect, just the one at the fan-end is being a pita.

All in now, but now the one that was leaking is hissing, I think, from the head-end. Who knew this was such a bugger of a job?!
So, hissing injector - bad?

(that's with o-rings borrowed from a spare injector, which looked nice and plump, btw).
