Hi, I have a 325i touring and need some advice, is It worth putting an induction kit on it not? If so which one is worth doing? I want to eventually change the exhaust to a scorpion system but have no idea regarding the induction kit??[/img]

if you want to lose power get an induction kit and if you want lose more power buy a scorpion exhaust.

If you just want your car to sound excessively loud and don't care thats its slower do both of the above

Yes in a word, the only gain from an airbox upgrade would be some kind of cold air/forced induction but it is pricey and the gains aren't that great.

The scorpions also are not good, shit steel etc.. better with the standard.

if you want more usable power get a chip off a member called speedtouch on here.

Some free flow air filters and after market exhaust can show marginal gains. You need to shed some serious dollars tho. Ram air crap and other cheap halford's type air filters won't do anything good IMO.

http://www.turnermotorsport.com/BMW-E30 ... lters.aspx

''Advanced Flow Engineering (aFe) makes these high performance, high flow OE air filters which replace the restrictive factory paper filter and lets your engine breathe better. These are stock replacement filters that drop in to your BMW's factory airbox system, and will increase flow to the engine, yielding more horsepower and torque. ''

As for exhaust, quality tubular manifolds would be a bettter buy than an exhaust for hp gains I think.

Would a back box make any difference?

I think this is the route I will go down, thanks for all the replies. I don't want to be doing loads to the engine and wanted it to stay a bit standard.
