no wasn't a typo pete just refering to how the engines sit and how to tell if there flat with the engine tilted back 4 degrees if you use a carb it will sit flat as the carb base on the manifolds are machine with a 4 degree decline on first start up I am going to use a carb as I don't wanna mess about getting the mapping right while I'm breaking it in so I'm just gonna stick a dizzy and a carb on it to start with them swap it all over to my tpi corvette injection set up don't worry your little head all under control lol
and as for carb they do work rather well as a blow tho on these v8 and lots of hp can be gained
you don't build an engine like this just to worry about fuel lol

got straight on it this morning had to modify my engine mounts again as the exhaust was hitting so I marked them up and cut the section out and shaped it for the exhaust to run in

was just going to put some thin plate but thought I'd strengthen it a little

cut them to size and got them sitting about right

then welded them in

and after abit of a clean up

they do the job nicely

all bolted together

and finally resting on its own now

still got the gearbox mount to do which turned up Friday looks a nice mount

cheers guys I do try
I'm gonna need some input from some of you guys basically I've got no room for a servo even a Clio one
what do you guys think I should do go manual brakes with a bigger m/c and alter the leverage angle on the pedal or go pedal box with something like a willwood arrangement or remote servo ?
what do you guys think I should do ??
on a good note the cam kit and pistons are ordered for a measly 400 all in
should be here end of the week
and I've started on the gearbox mount
so will snap some pics later
