What do i need to fit an aftermarket HU?

Do i need a particular adapter? have a pioneer HU i want to put in but not sure what i need! do i need an aerial adapter as well?

You generally won't know until you take out the existing head unit, most E30s have had their wiring hacked about by now.

Probably; I think the standard E30 looms were designed for 1980s Blaupunkt head units.

You will prob need to hack it.

the cassette player just pulls right out, if i remove the cage, will an aftermarket HU fit correctly? or will i need something to help it fit (like a fascia)

Get an after market head unit that has its own cage then just swap them

Already have an expensive HU that i want to put in, no cage also need to know what sort of wiring loom i will need and if i need an aerial adapter!
