cool build, i like your rally style shifter!
but i think the design of your rad scoop may not be ideal, going from what i read up in my turbo book it recommends a smaller mouth (30-60% rad area) tapering out to the full radiator size, sounds counter intuitive but his reasoning was that with that design the air can enter but not leave unless it passes through the radiator - whilst with a large scoop the air will take the easy way out and billlow around the sides,
it also said to use a light ducting material upto two inches from the cooler and then finish with a rubber strip, so not to pierce the radiator during contact during a race
hope thats some use

thanks for that mate
and what you say is try the rad intake has already been cut so its an inch away from the core and it will just fold and crumble if hit now.
as for the ducting it will lose some air but will feed more than not having it at all as most of the air lower down would have been lost as the radiator is pretty high and now all of the central part of the front will be direted threw the rad.

you will find this thread on oldschool very helpful.
http://oldschool.co.nz/2011/forum/index ... -non-vvti/
mine is a 95 1uzfe
*im using a flywheel that I bought here in nz for $300nz
* its made to use a clutch and p.plate form a celica gt4 $250nz.
*1uz auto bellhousing with and adapter plate *200nz (I just made my own)
I looked around for a hydraulic release bearing and the cheapest I found was the howe racing one from summit racing in the states http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hre-82870
as for gearbox yes im using the g52 its cheaper then all the others and some of the guys here in nz are running them in theyer pickups with 1uz motors and havnt broken them yet but they say to use redline lsd diff oil in them....the only thing is they are realy low geared so you will want to run atleast a 3.7 diff.
as for my rear 1/4 panels they are off a fl e30 .
let me know if I can help you ant more.
cheers
dan
