Broken relay perhaps, sending the power constantly instead of intermittent ?

'Relay' is under the cover for the steering column stalks, immediately below the steering wheel, but the most likely cause of your problem is the hazard switch itself, especially if the problem arose after you switched on the hazards.
Easy to open up, clean, lubricate and reassemble.

Ahh it was after I used the hazard lights! Thanks Brian I shall give that a go! Any specific lubes?

Electrical contact cleaner first, and when that has dried, a little silicon spray grease.

WD40 will do for the clean up, but not for a long term lubricant.
Cheers gents I might just do a quick temp clean with the wd40 so I can use it the get some lube or a switch alltogethee
dismantled the switch gave it a good clean with wd40 assembled it with all the springs sitting correctly so the switch goes in and out smoothly.........connected it up and - still doesnt work!
looks like I will just have to source a replacement.

Popped down to see Mr andyp to get a replacement hazard light switch when I plugged it in it still did not work!!!
After explaining how the problem came about he wasn’t having none of it and whipped into action wasting no time "man on a mission" in a matter of minutes he took my steering wheel off and swapped out the relay and "hey presto" it worked!
andyp TOP BLOKE!!!

potter is a hero once again
Today it has developed another problem....!!! It was working fine and I indicated to go right no lights just a fast ticking noise indicating left works fine and the hazard work fine all the lights come on....any ideas gents? Cheers
Anyone? Fuse maybe?
Cleaned the bulbs/holders still have the same issue! Tries a short cut with a peice of wire and it works.

Would it be the flash unit/relay I've already changed under the steering wheel?

Fast ticking is always bulb/contact issue and you normally have one indicator not working.
I get this sometimes myself and after playing around with the bulb and the contacts, it works fine.
Also could be that your light is cracked/damaged and letting water or moisture in, which causes this issue.

Im also having this problem! I changed all the bulbs and they all work, but whenever i use it right I just get the fast ticking. I dont really know much about fuses, is it best to take th steering wheel off and have a look?
All of my bulbs also work, my next call would be the flash unit/relay under the steering wheel - cant think of anything else unelss somone on here knows otherwise.....PaDz wrote:Im also having this problem! I would suggest it may be because someone has spliced an extra wire into that hazard switch wiring, and it may be causing the issue.Mo13 wrote:Cleaned the bulbs/holders still have the same issue! Tries a short cut with a peice of wire and it works.

Is the extra wire you are reffering to the brown one? I put that brown wire in to demontrate the right indicator works from the hazard light switch.Speedtouch wrote:I would suggest it may be because someone has spliced an extra wire into that hazard switch wiring, and it may be causing the issue.Mo13 wrote:Cleaned the bulbs/holders still have the same issue! No, I was referring to that red wire with the yellow going into it, with the blue crimp connector.
