So at the weekend I swapped my lights over from one smiley Bosch & one bullseye Bosch to a set of smoked smiley Hellas.
The Hellas had cabin adjust on them but the car doesn't have the rest of the system (it appeared to be duff so I didn't pull it from the doner) so I swapped the manual adjusters from the Bosch units to the Hellas.
I had previously fitted the Hellas and all of them worked fine.
Last night I figured I should probably adjust the beams to ensure I'm only blinding other road users and not low flying aircraft only to find that the drivers side dipped lamp isn't working. I checked the connections, all solid, changed the bulb and it still doesn't work.
I don't know if I knocked or damaged a ground connection or something when changing to manual adjusters, all appeared to be correct and fine though.
Any ideas?

Fuse would be an obvious place to start.

Are they fused individually?
Passenger side one works fine, just not the driver side. The main beam works as does the sidelight.

That's a yes then.
Fuse 14 which is 7.5A...shall check that out tonight before pulling the whole unit from the car. Might well have blown it actually thinking about it as the + cable wasn't plugged into the bulb when I looked at it last night so might have shorted on the - cable/connection.

A week or two back I traced an intermitant headlight to a faulty earth connection...
Started at the correct fuse and worked through the system, fitting a new earth wire finally fixed the blighter!

Just went and had a look, fuse was blown. I think it blew just because the + cable wasn't connected to the bulb last night before I turned them on. Oops.
Typically, I don't have any spare 7.5A fuses at the moment so will need to pick some up tomorrow.
Looks like it was just a muppet error this time.
