hi all
this is my 1987 pfl e30 was a 320i.
im building it as a alrounder i can take to drift days ,track days ,road race events and the major 1 for me sealed hill climbs.
heres the specs so far
heres whats been done so far.
*full cage ,
*booster has been mounted inside the car with rebuilt 325i mastr cylinder
*e36 325i front hubs discs and rebuilt calipers.
*e36 coilovers with e30 camber/caster adjustable top hats.
*e36 m3 front control arms with ne bushes
*21mm swaybar with new bushes and swaybar links.
*tree house racing offset mounts
*front guards are e30 with e36 lip inserted (makes the lip 10mm higher and 15mm wider
*10mm spacers upfront and 17x8 rims.

at the rear we have
*e30 subfrmae.
*e36 ti rear control arms with e36ti discs and rebuilt calipers.
*gaz coilovers with damper ajust.
*20mm spacers and 17x8 rims.
*rear guards and been tubber and a new outer skin will be welded on.
*will be full fl bumpers and headlights

so thats about it for now heres some pics

cool stuff , few things there that ill be doing ie e36 hubs ect . i must ask tho what is the deal with your front wings ? :cool:

they are the standard e30 wings with a section out of a e36 wing welded in.
the swage line lines up and it means the lip is 10mm higher and 15mm wider than standard e30.

just means i can get the car lower and run a wider tyre.

now that is genius ! not seen that before . solves a few issues, where did you get that idea from ?
will sure look better than rivet on arches as i intend to do

i guy i knew worked at a bmw dismantlers and just tryed differand wings to see if the lines matched up.

started on the bodywork
test fitted the IS front lip and rivited the rear panels on befor i weld them.

That's a cool project.

You're gonna get the stance boys seriously hard with that wing mod, i expect a sh*t ton of people trying that (badly) soon! :D

and also my stud converstion should be here this week.

so my wheel stud kit arrived today so much better then the standard bmw bolts

got the front valance and bumper mounts done and also managed to take 10.2kgs out of the front bumper and valance

comes with a 3sge flywheel that can be redrilled but im not to keen on that so ill look for
a light billit one

and also with a 5speed but its a g52 and i dont think they are up to the task so ill be looking for a stronger one

so after doing some drilling i managed to get the front including

light grills,kidney grill,bumper and indicators and front panel down to 7.1 kgs.

LHD cage in a RHD car :? I'd look into getting an extra diagonal fitted so there is some protection for your head.

my $28.50 remote shifter.

I started by making a spacer block to lift the factory shifter up 10mm and cut and extended the pivot ball


bought a alloy rod and bearing (that's the $28.50) could have used an old ball joint to make it for free.

40mm is seriously impressive! But I wonder if you may have trouble with engaging the correct gears in anger :?

found a radiator the size I needed

made a shroud for it and got it all mounted (will cut holes for fans when I have the fans I want)

also made templates for flowing air to radiator (will cut out of alloy this week at work

I got the front lower lip from a dude here in nz he makes them .but if you do mean the bumper skin its just a standard outer skin of a fl bimper.
