Do these cause vibrations
Or what else can cause this
If there the same ones on the car from new?
Thinking of changing mine (rubber )
How easy are they to do

Easy to do
If its an M20 engine you can use Ford RS/Capri mounts from Burton Power
http://www.burtonpower.com/engine-mount ... fp292.html
I've used these as have other zoners - seem to work well and significantly cheaper than from the dealers

Couple of points to note: If you're going to support the engine from underneath, on a jack, use a large piece of wood between jack and sump, large enough to cover the entire sump pan.Grrrmachine wrote:GUIDE:

The holes in the alloy engine mounts are shaped to allow the mounts to be twisted sideways.
An alternative to lifting the engine right up is to unbolt the alloy arm from the block.

On with this now
How far can I jack the engine?
Don't want to damage anything

Ah sorry, I didn't see the M42 bit. Have you tried asking Meatballs82 to help get you a part number from ECP for the correct ones.

I know CP4L sell q-drive M10 engine mounts. Looking at pictures, these appear to look the same.
Maybe someone can confirm if M10 and M40 mounts are the same?
