hi, my heaters been playing up for a while and im finally going to check it out during my holidays. i got advised to check the switch but im stuck, which bit should i be looking at here?

Image

the blower doesnt work on settings 1 and 3 and is intermitant on 2. also sometimes it seems to lose power and blows alot slower than it should then picks up again so i'm guessing theres a loose or dirty conection somewhere?

cheers in advance

Wiring also goes through a white 6 or 8 pin plug and socket located around the top left of the heater assembly. Sort of straight back from the clock.

i tried the switch and thats fine, and bridged the connection but the same problem exists :( . i couldn't see the socket mentioned above, do all E30's have it? and could it be the resistor board?, although 2 only sometimes doesnt work, surley if the resistor was to blame it just wouldn't work at all?

cheers for looking 8)
