Admiral are a bunch of monkeys at times, but their multicar quotes are usualy worth a look (if the BM is not your daily drive). £800 for a 59 plate Fiesta and the 320 year before last, when the Fiesta was coming up 600 quid on it's own (1 year no claim I was 28).
The story so far... http://www.cookracing.co.uk/

Seems reasonable, just posted a cheque for £148.40 for the cabbie on a classic's policy.kieran325 wrote:325 sport and M3 usual classic car benefits - £315 for the pair.
Lancaster tried very hard to sell me a 'classic' policy for the touring,at about £125ish,turned it down in favour of a similar priced offering from the Co-op that retains and uses my max NCB.
In the unlikely event of me buying a 'modern' car to replace the touring,I have no desire to 'start again' with an NCB!

I paid just under £100 this year on a classic policy found via quidco compare. Limited mileage policy but came with £25 cash back. So essentially £75 for the year on fully comp.
The insurer is sure term and its a subsidiary of Lancaster.

I'm just off the phone with Adrian Flux and if I was to do an advanced driving course they knock off £400 of my insurance.
Not bad seeing as the course is £139

AFAIK, if you have use of another car, then you qualify
for Classic insurance. Might be worth going for limited mileage too.

When I was living in Kentish Town, I initially got a quote £1000 (I'm 31 had insurance since I was 17 with no claims) I ticked the box that said I was in a 'common law relationship' it came down to £650ish, then put my girlfriend on the insurance came down by another £100 odd.kangman wrote:I pay £1100 for my 316iwest london insurance for you

Mines 200 fully comp for a 325i convertible with a dr10 conviction from just over 6 years ago with footman James and a 3000 a year mileage restriction. Classic insurance is the way forward, before that on non classic my best was 1500 with admiral a massive difference. I also have full European breakdown cover, but they won't help you if you have a puncture and no spare wheel

The only time it went up ( they wanted £200) I actually let it lapse. I called them a week later to renew it and they said they couldn't honour the price and had to re quote. The did so and it came in at £125 lol
