changed front shocks over for some bilsteins, and the springs, and then tried to take the disks off, but end up rounded off the f'in small screw that holds them in, on both sides, that just wound me right up...

Finally got a chance to re fit the rear brakes, removed them last summer and slowly refurbed/rebuilt them as new. With a bit of luck the fronts will be on too, soon.

The problem was?!
+1?
Thought it was fixed but must be dodgy wiring somewhere as its intermittent now.

Might get the inlet off and injectors away for cleaning.

Removed the remains of the old water pump, along with the 4 correct length mounting bolts instead of the laughably short bolts that had no chance of connecting the pump to the block :x , fitted new belts. Filled with new coolant , bled the system.
No leaks, no over heating and a lovely warm interior. :D

Finally got round to sorting out pedal box plumbing after a headache with wrong size bulkhead fittings. Just got to do the t-piece to left/right front lines and the in-car pedal box-rear t-piece line now :)

Oh dear, whats up with it FinalD?
Not too much really, I expected it to fail really badly for it's first MOT with me. Pleasantly surprised though that it failed on the following:
Nearside Front bleedniple Braking system leaking (3.6.A.1) **DANGEROUS**

Rear into tank Fuel hose leaking (7.2.3) **DANGEROUS**

Exhaust emissions carbon monoxide content excessive (7.3.B.2a)

Parking brake efficiency below requirements (3.7.A.10) **DANGEROUS**
I'll sort it all over the next week.
The bleed nipple isn't the bleed nipple but is the union between the solid copper line and the new braided line, it has a very minor weep, but obviously I need to sort that.
Fuel hose...I'm not sure which hose/pipe they mean so will have to have a play underneath.
Emissions were hilarious (pre cat car so max of 3.5% CO), it ran 6.78%. :D I think this is mostly due to the air sensor and ECU being different from what came with the engine, I'll swap them over and also have a check/adjust with the TPS etc. Helpfully, the guys at the garage are happy for me to (provided I know how to adjust stuff...to the wiki!) run the car on their ramps whilst metering the CO until it is within tolerance then they'll retest it. 8)
The hand brake, I had made it too tight before so slackened it off, too far it seems, easy fix.

Not too bad as the car hadn't been MOTed since March 2010 and had blown an engine in late 2010, early 2011. Over the past 6 months I've stripped large amounts down and rebuilt them and sourced a replacement engine.

Also as it was the first proper drive I've done in the car...wow, handles a lot better than I'd expected and makes a glorious noise. I drove home with the roof down and I love it. :D

Patched the front footwell, and had the windscreen in and out to try and stop the leak.

And then had poke in the rear inner arches and found small holes both sides so more welding fast approaching methinks
