First off here's a few pics of the updated appearance, on with some SE skirts which are doing a very good job of hiding some nasties from view





I have also had the inlet manifold and rocker cover off, these have been repleced with VHT wrinkle painted ones. Was very impressed at how clean the head was, hopefully a good sign it's been well serviced in the past. New gaskets fitted and everything given a good clean and refit in the hope i would find the cure to the high idle speed, alas no such luck it still idles at 1100-1200 RPM
Also have a probelm with the throttle cable, it certainly isn't moving freely and i can't get the clip in the right way on the throttle body as it just won't reach so when i hoof it there's a chance it could just pull out. Threw on my Sparco strut brace since that was sat in the boot of the chromie doing nothing, needs a good polish before it returns to it's rightful home anyway.
