First off here's a few pics of the updated appearance, on with some SE skirts which are doing a very good job of hiding some nasties from view
, Painted up a nice solid front valance and bolted that on yesterday so gone are the holes, dents and now the iS lip is secured by all the clips. I went for the option of the cheapest gloss aerosol paint in the local motor factors and to be honest you can't tell very easily that no attempt has been made to colour match 
. Also slapped on some hammerite to the tail pipes and tow bar, looks much better.
I have also had the inlet manifold and rocker cover off, these have been repleced with VHT wrinkle painted ones. Was very impressed at how clean the head was, hopefully a good sign it's been well serviced in the past. New gaskets fitted and everything given a good clean and refit in the hope i would find the cure to the high idle speed, alas no such luck it still idles at 1100-1200 RPM
. Also have a probelm with the throttle cable, it certainly isn't moving freely and i can't get the clip in the right way on the throttle body as it just won't reach so when i hoof it there's a chance it could just pull out. Threw on my Sparco strut brace since that was sat in the boot of the chromie doing nothing, needs a good polish before it returns to it's rightful home anyway.
