Update time, been giving this a little bit of attention over the last few days. Still got a few niggles bugging me but we'll get to those.

First off here's a few pics of the updated appearance, on with some SE skirts which are doing a very good job of hiding some nasties from view  , Painted up a nice solid front valance and bolted that on yesterday so gone are the holes, dents and now the iS lip is secured by all the clips. I went for the option of the cheapest gloss aerosol paint in the local motor factors and to be honest you can't tell very easily that no attempt has been made to colour match winkeye . Also slapped on some hammerite to the tail pipes and tow bar, looks much better.

I have also had the inlet manifold and rocker cover off, these have been repleced with VHT wrinkle painted ones. Was very impressed at how clean the head was, hopefully a good sign it's been well serviced in the past. New gaskets fitted and everything given a good clean and refit in the hope i would find the cure to the high idle speed, alas no such luck it still idles at 1100-1200 RPM :x .

Also have a probelm with the throttle cable, it certainly isn't moving freely and i can't get the clip in the right way on the throttle body as it just won't reach so when i hoof it there's a chance it could just pull out. Threw on my Sparco strut brace since that was sat in the boot of the chromie doing nothing, needs a good polish before it returns to it's rightful home anyway.

Not sure to be honest, keep meaning to see if i can read anything on the springs, all i can tell you at the moment is that they are red. I'd guess it's a 40mm drop.

Dave, if you measure from your Arch lip to the centre of your wheel, that will
give you your drop measurement. IIRC.

How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

Well this turd is still clinging on to it's life support machine. Passed it's MOT the other week, just needed two new rear tyres and a new foglight switch, all of which i had in stock so just cost me £20 to get the tyres fitted for another years cheap motoring

I know Jims just waiting to frag it when the sport goes back on the road in March but I am genuinely developing feelings for this turd, I might have to keep it forever! winkeye

Its possible! :D

Over the last few weeks its had front wheels balanced, cambelt, water pump, oil and antifreeze changed. I've also popped a mahoosive Exide battery in for the winter abuse and ordered new spigot rings to see if that cures the 50mph wheel wobble!

:D I'll be heading to the hole they call Hinckley shortly to grab some cash out of bank, and I shall take it into your branch, aslong as its open.

Hopefully most of it will have thawed out by then with all this tropical sunshine were having, although I bet its cloudy as fook over there isnt it? Its like the Bahamas over this direction today.

Grabbing it tomorrow Rob, Matt's invited me and Fiona over for a swingers party I think... He is also cooking dinner which should be good

And I shall not frag this car. I havent had a E30 on the road since October 2011 and I intend on going to Beaulieu this year in an E30 :D
