I've only got 2 working elements on my rear screen and need to sort it out, but I can only find silver repair "paint". Has anyone come across the brown/orange colour so it doesn't end up a patchy mess?

I doubt these repair gloops actually work properly - you're probably best off fitting a replacement screen.

Tried repairing the elements many times and never been succesful, the current seems to burn out any other weak spot after you repair one broken bit.

Finding a good window is also difficult , I have just bought a fifth rear window to try

If you can source a new window I would go for that :)

New rear glass for a touring costs more than 500 euros and I can't imagine it would be replaced without the spoiler getting damaged. I've tried removing the glass myself in the past and it's just impossible, it's like the entire car has been built around it!

Elements can be repaired successfully and permanently if you use a two part epoxy conductive paint, and are repairing damage rather than generally corroded elements.
Clean the area properly, paint between two strips of masking tape, and make sure you buy the electrically conducting version of the paint, not the heat conducting type.
Failing that, you could try thawing ice on the screen on a cold morning with very hot water.
