Since when does having photos of your car been a condition of insurance? If you don't have any then tell them that.
I'd strongly advise against going down the route you're suggesting here, which will be fraud, and, if discovered (there are serving police officers and very probably insurance fraud investigators amongst our membership), will give them just the excuse they need to reject your claim.
Iim with Brian, just be honest . You already have the agreed value that should be on your policy so surely if they don't pay that then there breaching some sort of contract.
Yeah all points taken, i'm just panicing now tho, i dont remember being asked for them at the beginning of the policy and one would assume that they wouldnt give me a policy unless they were happy with the info they had.
i filled out an agreed valuation form when i first took the policy out and sent it back to them. It said that anything under 15000 and you could self value.
They've sent me another on to fill in now too, asking for a shit load of information they've already had!
Don't get an image of someone elses bay as there is a chance you could be found out.
Send them what you have and if you're short of anything just make the excuse that you've lost the images due to your computer going tits up and what you've sent is all you had backed up.
Also argue that you've aready sent them. They won't be able to prove otherwise and if they haven't adjusted your policy to remove the agreed value and formally written to you telling you so because they haven't got them then you've made a fair assuption that they've received them and all is well.
