Looking good Goosie.

I never thought you would swap out the 2.8. Was it a drive in drive out conversion??

What's the plans for the stroker?

There something about the S50 in an E30 that is so right. I'm going to have to get saving :(

Thanks Dan,

Hi Scott, the 2.8 is going to sit in a corner of the garage and get cleaned up a bit, replace some gaskets and pipes, long term i'm not sure...

Nah mate, cable ties is well motorsport innit yeah?

Seriously though, its just a stop-gap to hold the ITG away from the rad, if serious thought was being given to it a fabricated bracket mounted to the unused earth on the chassis rail would have worked slightly less offensively...

Dan & Rav -why don't you trek down for the BBQ on Saturday?

Be good to see you both there

Cheers guys,

I'm after doing some training in August with 'the polishing company' i've gotten far more bufty as time has passed and there are a heep of cars that i can practice on for free after the initial training.

The car has always been looked after in terms of protective coatings and maintenance cleaning but its not possible to totally correct some of the deeper scratches and marring. Ideally at some point after the M3 is complete i can look at a bare metal respray of the exterior surfaces with glass out and running gear/pannels off.

Dan's choice of preparation and products have given a lovely finish, i'm especially happy with the boot and spoiler as shown in the above reflection shots...

Still makes me smile every time i open the door to the garage :D
