Where can I buy loweringkits 75-80mm?
Moderator: martauto
Hello
on my previous e30, I had a FK Hightec sport suspension 75/50mm mounted ..... and now I bought another e30'er but different FK dealers say the set has been discontinued?
where can I buy a lowering kit that lowers 75-80mm in front? and 50-60 rear. - a complete set of shock absorbers
for do not think it's so good to buy a 60mm lowering kit, and then cut a ring or two in front?
It is a 6 cylinder with 45mm strut, sedan / limousine
hope you can help

Why does it have 45mm struts? You should have 51mm's with a 6 pot?
If you can get springs that low, which I haven't seen, it is going to handle like an absolute dog.
If you must have it dragging it's sump everywhere, you can get custom springs.

Im guessing if you want to go that low handling wont be a priority? Coilovers or air ride is probably the most viable option. having the back that low is just daft, mine is lowered about 70 on the rear i think and im raising it as soon as i have the cash, it looks like the suspension has collapsed

for all the ride comfort your going to get from such a drop you may as well use springs out of an old sofa!

how much do you think this one is lowered?
I want it as low ... just about
anyone know where I can get something that lowers so? I can not afford to air suspension
and what should I buy to get it to be so low there?

320's have 45mm front's exept the tourers and cabs.
You could also go for a 60 drop at the front and use drophats from an e90.

that looks like 60/60 maybe a bit more, 70mm perhaps. mine is 70 rear, 50 front? and its not much higher on the front than that one.

Upper Spring Plate
While the lower spring plate is a fixed part of the strut the upper is a seperate part which holds the spring inplace and also acts as a housing for the top mount to sit in. Now this is a relatively uninteresting part, however it has recently come to light that this can be replaced by a spring plate from an E92 3-Series (part number 31336764093) which actually lowers the car by approximately 10mm by allowing the spring to sit higher in the wheel arch.
Nice, thanks, they fit directly on? , You know what the price is?Kedge wrote:AKABrinkland wrote:okay, whats is drophats?Sjoerd320i wrote:320's have 45mm front's exept the tourers and cabs.

Yep, straight swap for the old ones. Can't remember the exact price but think they were £10-£15 each.Brinkland wrote:Nice, thanks, they fit directly on? , You know what the price is?Kedge wrote:AKABrinkland wrote: okay, whats is drophats?

It is like them, these are just very expensive!! I just want to explore what those from an E92 will cost here in Denmark,
(it does not matter what year and engine size? - just say in a bmw dealer that it should be to E92?)

That is a photoshop, the ckeckerd (?) pattern doesnt flow with the line's of the fender.
As is the same with the rear wheel.
The rest is real tho

Good shout. The bonnet looks 'shopped on also- just a piece of rusty metal, wrong shape with no centre bulge. The writting on the front tyre is mirrored also!! Didn't look at it closely earlier as it wouldn't surprise me if some dick actually did thisSjoerd320i wrote:That is a photoshop, the ckeckerd (?) pattern doesnt flow with the line's of the fender.

I got the parts, shorter shock absorbers, springs 75/50mm from FK automotive, and so I bought a set of adjustable rear springs (30-80mm) and original upper spring plate from a BMW E92 as it is lowered further 10mm front

@brinkland, I've got those rear springs with adjusters myself & while they are very good just make sure you keep the adjustable platform's clean & greased because if you don't they WILL seize up & refuse to budge.
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.
