Right then, the passenger side of the roof is great - locks in with a sturdy click/thud and there is no play at all there!! Perfect!!

The drivers side, however, leaves a little to be desired!!!
The lock lever feels a touch loose and it locks in to place too easily!!
It would never come open and doesn't really cause much of an issue tbh, but it does have a bit of play, which means a bit of extra wind noise (I can pull the roof down and reduce the wind noise!!) and the occasional leaky drip when it's been raining heavily (although normally just when changing cambers on and off the driveway, etc!!!).

It looks to me that there should be slightly more of a 'nipple' on the body (above the windscreen) where the lock clicks into place.

Any ideas what I can do to improve/rectify this??
Would changing the lock handle for a more solid one be worth a try?? Or should I try and improve the nipple somehow???

Also, the drivers dool seal keeps pinging off and is really irritating me!!!
It looks to be in good condition, fits fine when encouraged back on and is water tight, so should i just try and re-fix it with a dab of sealant of some kind???
Will an expensive new seal really stay in place any better???
All ideas welcom on that one too!!!!

Thanks in advance!!!

I would say replace the lock handle. I think I have one in my garage you can have for free. I'll need to check though.

As for the seal it should just pop on over the seam of the door and the door card, is the door car definetly fitted properly?

That would be amazing if you have a lock handle I can try - I'll gladly paypal you a little gift for that!!! Just pm me your paypal addy when you find it and let me know what you want for postage, etc, and I'll send my address!!!

The seal, well i should have said, it's the seal on the bodywork, around the door aperture!!
It looks like it goes down the back of the door, along the door opening under a plastic kick panel (?) and then up to the top of the windscreen!!
But.... now that you mention it, I don't think that door car is seated 100% and I suppose that could be catching on it and causing my problem!!!
Something rattles inside that door and it's on my to do list anyway, so you just brought it much nearer the top of the list!!!!

The card in the rear next to the rear seat should have a flap of material sticking forwards that wraps round the metal edge. The door seal goes over that.
