hi all, i have a cluch problem, ive posted somthing about it before but cant find the thread, breifly... in the morning when i start the car i cant select a gear without banging it in, and the bite is realllly low, so low that when stationary with my foot all the way down standing on the cluch, if i take my foot off the brake the car will move, which cylinder would cause this to happen, it feels a little slack aswell, not as hard as my other car was, thanks

right, we bled the slave cylinder this evening and all that came out was old black stuff, i have put fresh fluid in when i changed the brake cylinder so shouldnt be black, and nothing else comes out, there doesnt seem to be any fluid getting through to the slave cylinder, is the slave fooked?, theres no leak from it. the cylinder under the pedal seems ok, it doesnt get stuck or just flop, it doesnt have any pressure but the pedal still comes back up, i now have no clutch, any advice plz? thanks

It will be black because the master is fooked, you need new master and slave cylinders to sort your problem reliably

there was pressure in the pedal before bleeding the cylinder, but the bite was just low, but as soon as we started bleeding the cylinder the pressure just went and hasnt come back,

Thats because the seals have gone, hence the black, rubber contaminated fluid

And get a braided clutch hose from Ebay whilst you're at it to replace the rubber almost-certainly-fooked one that is currently there.
