I know thie answer is on the forum somewhere, but the search function throws up 20 million results without an actual result.
I'm usually a lazy facker and let a friend do all the work on my car (I'm a girly office type- and i might break a nail!), but i'm determined to start getting my hands dirty.
Got some plans to start some body work this weekend, but thought i could chuck in some new service parts at the same time.
All i want is recommendations for the best parts to use, and where to order them from. I have scoured ebay, Halfords, ECP and a few other places and there is way too much choice for an indecisive sod like me to pick the right one.
Air Filter
Fuel Filter
Oil filter
Spark Plugs
Service parts.

NGK Plugs from ECP
Bosch fuel filter from ECP

Order online, use "Service25" as the discount code for 25% off - or see if meatballs82 ( Matt ) can sort you out with better prices

Same here, I seem to remember doing some reading on it, and recall that Dexron ATF is not good for the manuals.redcar wrote:ATF in the gearbox?

If people can suggest a better alternative to anything in that list, I'll amend it and stick it in the Wiki.

You don't need a genuine BMW cambelt - Contitech make them for BMW - buy the Contitech kit from ECP
