I have recently swapped out my 4.10 open diff for a 3.73 LSD dif. Now when I lock the whell and apply any sort acceleration (normal u-turn) I can hear grinding rough sound coming from the back. Even when im not locking the wheel this sometimes happens as long as i got drive going to the wheels and turning. When i dip the clutch or straighten the wheel, all is well. Are these signs of a faulty diff?

Sounds like the clutches are knackered in the diff

Unless the grinding sound is the inside tyre slipping, which would show that the diff is working.ross2009 wrote:Sounds like the clutches are knackered in the diff

If you're lucky it just has the wrong oil in it.
