I'll be fitting mine to an M42 over the weekend  Hopefully my springs and dampers will be here by then - no sign of them yet :(

My M52 is getting modified UJ's and a straight spline from Dan.
How big was the spacer for the engine mounts for the M42? Sounds like a "fix" until I can get some proper new mounts (Assuming I have this issue at all)

E36 or E46 or Z3 rack used in the rear holes with spacers above the rack (the correct mounting point) will work with M20 standard manifolds and the linkage minus rubber part. Its a bit close but new engine mounts should prevent any exhaust/linkage contact
Hi Dan, should the spacers for the rack not go below the rack as on a lowered car, spacers below the rack will help eliminate bump steer as it raises the rack slightly.

It was only a few mm, 5mm at most, few very large washers. If your bushes are still good you prob wont have any problems though!
