If he tries to drill/extract/tap this bolt out, I'm more than certain that his next post afterwards will be along the lines of "how do I remove a broken extractor/tap from the hole"!
There is only one sane way of removing this bolt, and that is to weld a nut onto the protruding bit, with the heat turned fairly well up. The heat and thermal shock will unseize the bolt, and it will wind out.

I think we need to hold a race, i will bet £50 i could get the bolt out first with no damage.
Just need to find two more turds with snapped bolts.

I'd have that out of there in minutes.. you haven't seen seized bolts like a MK2 granada.. I swear they deliberately cold-weld everything in at the factory..

So you use an example where the bolt is twice as big, does not have a thread that can be damaged while drilling and tapping and could have easily been punched out instead? Next you'll be telling us you retapped the thread!VW-will wrote:I never said the subframe bolts had captive nuts... Drilling a bolt is drilling a bolt being a captive nut or what ever, same $h1t different smell.
I don't know what's worse, your stupidity for assuming the sub frame bolt needs to be drilled out, or saying that it's easy since youve never actually done it.

I bet that would never pass the hammer test.
Looks like you welded a seam on the chassis rail and totally missed off the lolly pop
The CAB looks interesting too!
If I see you on the roads I will call the police.
