hi all

i am new to the BMW motorcar devition i do have a R60/5 motorcycle for the last 15 years problem is that my newly bought 1985 320I left me standing next to the road twice this past week and after a wile she starts up without any problems i have replce the distributer cap rotor and coil but no lusk what should i do Blessings Jurgens

We have a little to go on there, Jurgens. Could you describe what happens when the car stops working while driving?

Does it also take a while to start in the morning?

backfire would suggest over fuelling? AFM, injectors leaking, blue temp sender. All of the above?! :)

check the multiplug under the inlet manifold, peel the rubber boots back on both halfs of the plug and check for corrosion/breaks in the wires
