Not sure if this is the right place (mods please let me know and move it if need be, this is not intentional), but like the title says, I'm looking for a new project car. I've done a few E30s, and still have a G reg 325i Touring to keep me happy, but I fancy something a bit different.

Anybody...? Even if it's a car that's not being advertised that might be available?

Good point - some interesting stuff there. Having said that, what's you plans for your Reseda E12? Just saw your thread now - it looks lovely!rh306 wrote:..quite a few on the bay at the moment:

, After that refurb the steels, fit these:

sort out a slightly bent back bumper and kidneys, get it serviced and then just the occasional drive and some regular buffing

Wow, it'll look great with those fitted once the wheels are done. It's just the sort of thing I'm after, but I doubt that I'll be as lucky as you!

Thanks guys, I'll be collecting the car in January so keep your eyes peeled! I'll post some more pics up once I've got it home and the strip down has started.
Alan - not sure if you've come across Walloth and Nesch in Germany, but they do pretty much everything. I have a feeling that they'll be getting a bit of my hard-earmed over the next few months!!!!

Bear in the mind the parts that they show pictures of on the website are just a small selection of what they have - you can download the full parts manual and price list for free if you want. Their warehouse is apparently ENORMOUS! I know when I had my E21 323i a few years ago they had a few NOS E21 shells knocking around....
I think they carry a lot of parts for the E24 too, so you never know, they probably have lots of wings. Sadly I don't think 'E24 wings' and 'cheap' go together.......

?I have thought of shooting an Email over to them, but I need to get to see my shell properly first.
No doubt when I get to it, I will be ordering new panels.

They are really good guys, so why not give it a go. I'll be driving my Touring over to Techno Classica this year, and they always have a stand there. I was thinking I could pick some parts up from there and cut down on the postage etc.
Did you know they do monthly discounts?

True - I think they do 'themes' every month, I noticed that it's coolant hoses at the mo. Never seen them advertise E30 parts though.

Ha ha no, not another E21! Although I do miss mine (not as much as I miss the 320IS, but that's another story!), but this will be more exciting.
Let's just say I don't think it'll be a 2.5 auto for much longer.....

Well the E3 and an UTTER turd of an E12 520 arrived yesterday. The E12 will be donating it's pedal box and brake servo bracket so that I can bin the hateful E3 twin servo set up, then will get fragged and weighed in. The E3 will be getting an M30 3.5 transplant - I just need to find a suitable donor now......

Can anybody guess what's going to happen next? 3.5 M30, LSD and correct 5 speed box? Yes please! Plus there are plenty of morsels to sell once it's been fragged to offset the purchase....

That's an E28 based E24 so not very suitable to use as a donor for an E3.anothere21323i wrote:Well I collected this yesterdayanothere21323i wrote:Well the E3 and an UTTER turd of an E12 520 arrived yesterday. What you really need is an E12 535i or E12 based 635CSi as it will have more suitable mechanicals to use on an E3 like the side loader diff and the cable speedo drive gear box.

I'm pretty sure that all pre 85 635s had the cable speedo drive box? I did check that before I bought this. Either way, there are plent you juicy bits that can be flogged on - including the sports leather and really clean front wings....

The car certainly has some valuable morsels.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but only the E12 based E24's have the cable drive box.

Just been thinking about this. Where's the speedo drive on the later cars?
