there's a lot of shite on this donk that wont be used so i'll check in here before the carnage begins.

if any one spots something i need to do or should be aware of then don't be shy :D

here we go again .

Image

in this pic the smaller pipe with the jubilee clip goes to the throttle body, now do i blank this off as i'm getting a complete m50 intake?

Image

brown temp sensor needed here yeah ? and the coolant hose to the right goes to the throttle body or there abouts do i blank this off ?

Image

is there a plug for the injector rail, or do i send that to Dan [injector rail] not injectors.when i send the loom.

basically the loom is still attached to the m52 inlet manifold via the injector loom .

Image

also some kind of breather from the dipstick [blocked] do i blank this off or do i need an e34 dipstick tube ? the stick itself is broken at the top so can't be used and is this 7 series sump good to go in an e30 ?

Image

got

clio servo
m20 clutch and lightened fly, starter motor
e36 engine arms

i have a list that covers most if not all parts needed and is in progress.

so just a few small questions to begin with .

Mick PM on way
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

It unclips off the injectors, a small screwdriver to flick the wire clips over slightly will release the injectors.
Keep the dipstick tube, just black off the oil drain as you wont be using it with the M50 manifold.
The brown sensor will need the thread turning down and fitting into the head where the throttle heater outlet is at the moment. The return from the throttle heater is the small section of the steel pipe, cut the long bit off and weld it up 8)

finally all the parts are here including a nice 2dr M///tech kitted 318i.

so the recipe is complete now we can make a cake :D

the diff, zaust and prop are now removed and all fluids drained.the loom is all UN-plugged and the 318i m40 donk is ready to be pulled first thing tomorrow morning.

this is getting an e46 rack with all DanThe parts i.e fan loom,m52/e30 engine loom etc basically everything he makes to do this conversion has been bought.i'm using an m42 g/box with lightened fly an as-new clutch and recon starter,it's getting a huge fookin zaust s/s system.check these mofo tail pipes !

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E30-325i- ... 45f069696a

also we have a 3.64 lsd and my customer even found an alloy thermostat housing on egay for £7 odd, well scavenged imo.

pics/problems and ultimate glory to follow ,can it be done in a weekend :? let's get fookin busy

Mick you need to get the plastic cover back on the rack input shaft, it will be fcked in no time if water/shite gets in there. Cut it down if you need to but dont leave it off

Part number for 80°/88° fan switch = 61 31 8 361 787

thank fook for that!

we fired it up at the first chance to make sure it ran before going any further....

then fitted everything else we had. till confident it was ready to bleed the coolant and check the fan kicked in before the test drive.

i can't drive this ,the e36 a/c rad leaks badly from the lower filler bottle part so 6 ltrs of anti-freeze get dumped on my drive and some nasty noises become apparant now the exhaust is fully fitted.

it's pitch black and we are cold and hungry ,this isn't good.

today brings sunshine, the alternator and both pulley belts were changed and a new rad on order from gsf will be delivered tomorrow.

after 3 months it's over.

i hope that's light up ahead and not a bloody train!

Image

final update shortly .

after a poor start to the the day i finally got out there in amongst it again...

Image

fitted new rad and filled it up again, more anti-freeze and it bled up 1st attempt with heat at the heaters, just waiting for the fan to kick in :?

Image

after watching the temp gauge get close to red i switched it off left the ignition on and checked the relay's,both fan relays are clicking so a wiggle of the fan plug and it kicked in to life on full speed for a while then down to low speed and then off.

:D

donk bleeding position

Image

fitted some foggy's

Image

Image

changed the oil now it's hot then noticed the vicious fan winkeye

Image

it's got some noisy injectors but that's it just about finished bar bolting the the bonnet on and fitting the tech11 valance.oh and a 6-pot code plug .

then i get to test drive it :D

it's getting a recon alternator as the one fitted makes a row
