Very Nice!

shame mine didnt come in black

Well as some of you know i took another trip up to Scotland today to collect the Chromie from Russell. Took a train up from Newcastle to Edinburgh and then a short train to Inverkiething where Russell picked me up.
After dealing with the business side of things went to fill up and head home.

Had a steady drive back down, Have to say im definately not an Auto fan and the 2.0 litre is not impressive at all!

So some will be dissapointed but the engine will be replaced. also the interior is just not my cup of tea so when funds allow it will be changed for a Minty fresh leather interior.

Not in a hurry to do much at the minute as funds are now low for a while, also got a few jobs to sort on the cabby and its due Mot end of the month.

Not his choice to keep the original motor - it was everyone that commented and convinced him to keep it that way! You should respect Murphy, he clearly respects all the zoner addicts

Well im stuck on where i want to go with this one

havnt had a chance to get out and get some pics taken since bringing it home as its not stopped raining here all weekend.

My dilema is wether i want to keep it or not. realy enjoyed being back in a 2 door again but its just a poverty spec motor and not appealing to me. the engine is sh!t and the interior is very basic. so to start would have to have a sport interior and definately has to have an engine swap. the body roll is awfull and needs lowering.

Having said that, its all possible and easily done. but i couldnt justify spending all that whilst keeping the cab going aswell, so choices to be made on which to keep and what to do

Do yourself a favour Murph, look at your cabby and look at the chromie. Think of how much effort each will take you and then which one your prefer the look of (I think even I know the answer and don't know you!)

 Bye chromie

If he has all the bits for the chromie on the cab then it needs to donate them, either that or it needs to make enough money to buy them again.
Would be nice to sell the cab on for enough money to buy all the parts needed, but it rarely works out. I was in the same situation with my white 4 door when I bought the chromie, wouldnt have sold for enough to buy all the morsels it had. So its donor card came out

But what does the cab have that the chromie would need? Its got no M5x engine, the interior doesnt fit and none of the body work does.

The only parts that do fit will be the suspension but that is easy and relatively cheap to source.

Sell the cab complete and buy the morsels to build the CR24V.

Unfortunately other than the engine, 6 branch and system there not alot to transfer to the chromie from the cabby.

i have updated on the goings on with the cabby in my build thread.

for now i am going to leave the chromie as it is and use it just to comute to work and back untill i get a decent amount of funds together to get the cab sorted out, once thats sorted i will start collecting parts for the chromie.

How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.
