Are you only interested in how it looks ? What about how it feels to drive ?

Last person I knew with an E30 with a 60mm front drop seized an engine when the sump was smashed after the car hit a pothole.

For a daily driver I wouldn't recommend 60/40 personally, it bounces around a fair bit on the road, and only just gets onto my drive, and speed bumps are a pain. But on a nice smooth track it's all good :)

all this talk of speed humps are a pain are true but it doesn't really matter if your 60mm or 40mm down you have to go the same speed over them.

unless your on non m-tech ride height you won't be flying over any humps imo

60/55 on 15'' bbs. I done this set up on all my e30's, bar the cab and its not tooo low as some put it, i live in london a place where theres more pot hots n road humps than there are cars and have never had an issue, take it easy on humps and avoid pot holes as you should in any car realy and its fine imo.

Back on topic, my cab is lowered 60/40 thats 60 front 40 rear

and its my daily driver, speed bumps just mean you have to play it safe. as said above dont realy matter if you are lowered 60mm or 40mm you will still need to take it easy over the speed bumps

Image

if you are looking for comfort but a bit of looks id advise a subtle 30mm drop all round :)

60/40 is too low. You run out of suspension travel and are on the bump stops - not so bad with expensive Bilstein B6 or B8 shocks but bad on regular shocks with external bump stops.

30 or 35mm is as low as you want to go. It reduces the gap in the arch, improves the handling and still has a good ride. No need to go easy over speed bumps or potholes either - it'll take them in it's stride.

I love this! To me it looks like it would roll out of the factory like it as an option. This would be the best compromise for aforementioned silky smooth London roads that I have to drive daily. What kit is it? Are those 16's?

That'll be a Hartge which is a similar idea to an Alpina, but a different tuning company. They did 15 and 16 inch wheels.
