Just had my car dyno tested - Max 166.1 HP. Not bad for E30 M20 325i Touring 1989' considering engine is completely standard...
146,000 miles - head rebuilt at 110,00 miles.

227.5 bhp for mine last time it was on the rollers, and still does just under 500 miles to a tank on the run.
Not bad for a small boat anchor with Mega Squirt

Is mega squirt system similar to MAF conversion. Is that the only mod you have done. impressive Bhp and fuel economy

I've also had a dyno test run done with Speedtouch Mild eco torque chip - Max 164.3 bhp
This was just done as a comparison..

so you lost 2bhp using a chip? did you gain any torque though?

Nope! Megasquirt is a standalone programmable ECU that comes in kit form

No gain in torque either - Max 163.9 HP
Standard BMW chip :
Max 166.1 HP - BHP
Max 165.2 HP - Torque
Max 165.1 HP - Flywheel
Speedtouch Eco Torque chip B25M20 :
Max 164.3 HP - BHP
Max 163.9 HP - Torque
Max 162.9 HP - Flywheel
There was increase in torque surge between 2000 - 2500 RPM peaking then drops back to that of standard. Maybe explaining feeling of increase in mid range torque.
Will scan dyno chart

Just picked mine up from Circuit motors. M20 2.5
190 bhp and 167 torque. Thought torque would be higher but impressed anyway

Not quite the same but on the speedtouch chip i had fitted to my m50 it made less bhp + torque than it did on the standard chip. But it did seem quicker somehow, and the 7krpm limit was awesome.
Does it feel faster to drive with the chip in?
