As promised a piccy of my car, Unfortunatly I have a duff camera so only two pics worked... Alpinas to arrive next week

Sorry about the dirt, but live next to a building site a the minute

What do the buttons that are in front of the leccy window switchs actually do?

I think they are broken as don't seem to do much

The buttons are breaker switches that immobilise the windows.

The big one is for the front and the smaller for the back (i think). In 3 years of ownership i've never used it.

Yeah, switches in the back too - I can see the point of the rear window lock but the front one >? why not just not press the button :)


Oh well I like buttons...

Definative answer.
Both switches at the front are standard on a four door with rear electric windows.
Rear doors have their own switches as well as the ones on the consule.
Front right "switch" is a resettable fuse. It will pop out and cut the power to all the windows if any of them jam, or the button is held down too long. In normal use, pushing it should not do anything, except maybe stop the windows while you push it.
Front left switch is a switch which disables the windoew switches on the rear door cards, but leaves the rear switches on the console working.

hi mate, is that car ever parked on a cobbled road that runs parralel to princes st in edinburgh? cant think of the name right now. if not then theres one very simmilar 8)
