No luck tracking those Alpina subframe bushs down, Munich Legends say they have been NLA for a few years now and they fit powerflex bushs instead now. The gimp at Sytners said that they wernt in the Alpina parts catalogue(sp?), more like he couldn't be arsed to look !
Normally Sytners are very helpfull, but not this time.
Genuine BMW bushs are going on tomorrow.

thats not what u said tho jon
u put its pronounced "hart-gee"
and a double e will make the g sound different to a single one

eg a soft or a hard sound
hart ge
or
hart ga
both sound will sound very similar.

It's pronounced HART-GER. If it was pronounced Hart-gee it would have an umlaut (double dots) above the e or would be written Hartgae. The 'e' in Hartge is pronounced the same as 'her' or 'fur'.
You need to speak German to really get to grips with the weird pronounciation. For example, in "Vorsprung Durch Technik", Durch is pronounced Doichh with a real phlegmmy hiss to the 'chh' bit.
Anyway, part number for the axle bush is 33 30 108, and the Alpina diff mount bush is 33 30 109. Knowing Alpina, probably no longer available. What's wrong with a nice new standard BMW axle bush anyway??
Hartge stuff was much better than Alpina. H27's do have the steel diesel crank and the H27SP used a special inlet manifold with one choke per cylinder. Very proper. 220 bhp. H26 was a nicer car than the C2 2.7 imho.
