I have just got a rather nice E34 525 touring which has a double sunroof,

The sunroof has not been used for over a year, what kind of dramas are involved if it opens and will not shut.

You get wet when it rains, birds shit on you, people throw rubbish inside, cats get in and claw the trim/piss everywhere, im sure theres more :D

T-shirt weather here today you soft southerner, sun shine and everything :D

TBH I never really take much notice, just power them back, remove the motor if it works and leave open to fill to the brim with light iron :)

These are a complicated affair and if they go wrong (Pete will probably change that to WHEN) they can cause all sorts of drama's.

I'd open the f*cker and see whats what. When open lubricate everything as I suspect, it's a lack of maintenance that does them no favours.

Then jump on the 5 forum under e34 section to ask how you close it again!!

Hopefully you won't need that last part but the forum aint a bad place to be if you own a 5! :D

A Bmw Master Tech once gave me some good advice regarding double sunroofs... "Don't touch it".. :D
