Its still tight enough though considering its a cylinder shorter than what you normally have problems with!Jonsku wrote:Damn that looks good in there.

Hi,
Glenn- I see you have some E36 M3 Parts.
Do you have by chance a E36 M3 3.0 LTR Crank
in good condition please ?
I really wanted to borrow one to check something.
Seems I am going to have to buy one to find out.
Please let me know if you have one or know of
one.
Regards,
The Gorilla.

HI,
Glenn- many thanks, but I need a 3.0ltr E36 M3 one.
Your project is coming on well, are you going
to set the ECU in 'Sport Mode' or retain the
'Push here for 100 BHP Top Up'' Button ?
Regards,
The Gorilla.

The steering rack location appears to have been moved forward quite a bit. How do you plan to make up for that?
Best of luck to you!

i dont think so, maybe at full or almost full lock, but for normal everyday usebaptie0 wrote:what about the steering angle? will moving the rack forward effect it? nice work btw.
i dont think there'll be any issues. if i find any problems i'll take another look at it.
i thought for a few days, i'd better bolt it all together to check for clearances etc. so, bolted the gearbox up to the engine, so that the engine could sit at its 'finished' angle, and then checked i could shut the bonnet, and check ground clearance.

recognize these ?........

i went down to cornwall last week to pick up some stuff of the old car.
i bought back the interior, the gp-n shocks and springs, my nardi blackline wheel, and these rear quater panels. i thought i'd grab the panels to repair some rust under the back bumper

he's re-shelling the car.Dezzy wrote:So is the old car getting put back on the road then?

he told me he's bought a dtm new ex-stock shell from germany, and is picking it up this month.
you're telling me steve !!e30topless wrote:that looks a tight fit Glenn
i knew it was going to be tight, thats why i felt the need to bolt it all together and back in the car to check.
i bought back the gp-n shocks and springs, but after bolting it back together, i'm not sure if i could afford to go much lower than it is now, so i may have to re-sell the shocks and springs.
i'm going to remove the engine and gearbox again, so i can properly sort the clutch release bearing, bolt it all back in, then change the shocks and springs and then have a look what clearance i've got under the car.

Intriguing thread, first post as well, i was lookign to put in aV10 into an E36, E30 M3 was just too expensive as a base car for me, plus almost a shame being a classic ;)
Re the management, i was previously put off but the only proven engine management solution being the pectel/cosworth solution, and its £10k +VAT price tag, i see you are planning on keeping the std management, who has got that working if you wouldnt mind me asking.
thanks
Lowell

my welder packed up, and while that was being repaired, 'er indoors has had
me doing a few jobs around the house.
i've also been doing a s50b32 swap for someone, which i've pretty much finished and so i'll be delivering it back to him this weekend.
also, we're being made to do longer hours at work at the moment, so,
with doing more hours at work,
doing an s50 swap for someone,
and doing some diy,
i'm struggling to get some time on it at the moment.
what i am doing though at the moment is,
preparing the car to go for painting, while its at the bodyshop i'll be able to get the other things finished

Hi,
Epic thread!!!
Something that should be done long time ago - and done it the right way! Do you mind me asking the same question as the previous opponent,

any contacts on that, email? phone? also did you ever thought about the new x5m x6m v8 bi-turbo swap??? I believe with your extraordinary abilities it could be done in future?! That`s what I`m looking to do and so - collecting the info on that! I see only one major problem - ems!!! That`s what worries me most. Looking forward that this thing will hit the road asap, interested what`s going to feel while driving this beast! Looking forward that you`ll be able to share your wizard info with me. Thanks for doing this and bringing the positive atmosphere to our minds!
