fook that windmilling carry oin
Pipe 1 ”“ High pressure - 1 metre of steel braid nylon hose, M16 banjo connector at one end (rack end) , M14 banjo connector at the other end (pump end) 90 degree offset on the banjos.
Pipe 2 ”“ Low pressure (return hose) ”“ 1 x M14 banjo into 200mm of 3/8”a rubber hose, then stepped up to a”a hose for 1 metre.
The place I got my pipes made up are in Doncaster and it cost me £60 for them, but they will take a few days to do them and post. This is their number 01302 746 969 and ask for Paul. They can take paypal.
Can't find their email address now
Should get you on the right road mate.

Thanks for that, very useful. I removed my rack to install an e36 one last weekend, I've tried bending the existing pipes and while I might just manage the easy one (which only needs a single bend in it) I can't see how I'm going to completely unbend and rebend the other one. For £60 I might save myself alot of grief and have a set made up.

Do you think we could do a zone group buy with them? I'm definitely up for buying a set

Been let down big style by the first company that even managed to lose the above pipe which was my pattern
I now need to make another before I can go any further

if a group buy was on the cards would it not be an idea to have them made so they look totally factory?

I did my z3 conversion with hoses made by a company called hosemaker for £40 odd quid. Wasn't too much hassle to measure up, just gotta mess about with the threads when designing em, as lots of pipework is imperial. The two important ones on the rack are an M16 and M14, both of which have a pitch of 1.5. I even cut the cost of mine by not using Banjo's on the rack, just used a 90. But make sure you have space around your engine (I dont know what the sump of a 4 banger is like)
got my pipes today,
are these right
the banjo's are at a 90 offset to each other on the silver one so is it just a case of cable tying it up where i can to keep it tidy ?

hope these bloody work...

Ive just re-read your other post and noticed the fittings seem to be wrong. Ive been messing a bit this week with pipes/racks and this is what ive found
E36 rack inlet= 14mm
E36 rack outlet= 16mm
M52 PAS pump outlet= 16mm
M50 PAS pump outlet= 14mm
Its possible Lee has fitted his pressure pipe the wrong way round which is why he hasnt noticed a problem, but with an M50 pump you wont be able to fit it up properly

they look identical to mine mate.
Because I have my E36 rack mounted in the forwards slots I was able to feed both pipes behind the rack. The braided hose didn't need clamping to anything as it is spot on length.
You can just see the braided pipe in this pic and the route I have sent it. Click on the pics for a bigger view

The rubber hose which goes from the rack to the reservoir will need cutting to length once you have it routed and are satisfied it isn't snagging on anything. The lenght of hose is long enough to fit an E30 reservois in the standard position, so needs trimming if the res is mounted on the nearside engine mount.

Yes M50 measurements only, this was the one I tipped you off about IIRC Mick! How's it going with the project?magpie wrote:these measurement details ar for m50 only i think?Bristol_Jer wrote:Thanks MagpieI'll send an email now

How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

Mick, as you are using M50 PAS pump, one of the banjo ends will be 14mm and the other 16m, so the braided hose will only fit one way, where as on mine they are 16mm each end.

F U CK, If I have got those measurements wrong Mick and the pipes need replacing/ you get charged for any modifications, let me know and I'll sort you out as that is bad if I have given wrong measurements.
I'm sure I had copied & pasted from my original email when I ordered them, but changed the details just to suit your M50 PAS pump

would be so amazing of you could buy an off the shelf kit for the m20 and m5x

I have a E36 rack and the only thing stopping me fit it is the pipes, if someone just did a "kit" with both pipes to fit and E36 rack to an E30 with M20 engine for £60 like some have paid I'd order it and slap it on.
