When squirting the windscreen, only the driver's jet works. The head light washers don't squirt either and leaks shoot out of the valves at the bulkhead end of the bonnet and behind the driver's side lights.

Do they do this because the nozzles are blocked?
Can I unblock the nozzles? Bath in Bi carb of soda? Batch in cola?

How do I get the headlight wipers to wipe?

Usually the T pieces /N/R valves in the system leak, and as you say, if the nozzles are blocked up, then the pressure will cause the water to exit at the easiest route. Change the T pieces and the nozzles (only a couple of quid from the dealers), and all should be ok again!

There's lots of things that could be preventing the headlamp wipers from working, the relay mounted on the washer bottles playing up for a start, but the biggest problem, especially for motors that haven't been used for a while is seized motors, remove the motors, and rebuild with plenty of grease, also give the spindle a damn good cleaning, and this is the main problem, with corrosion in the shaft.

The headlamp washers are controlled entirely by the right hand headlamp motor, and will not work unless this wiper works,(or work continuously, if it seizes in the wrong place).
The headlamp wipers themselves are only supposed to work every fifth time or so that you use the windscreen washers, when the lights are on.

It is a bit on the big side. Would be appreciated if you could cut it down a bit, please.

I swapped them no bother, but I also installed some new y peices and new hose, removing the vavles. I bought it from a home brew kit supplier. Total cost of repair Ԛ£1.50!

I've also had problems with my skooshies.

T-valves keep blowing (and once they're gone that's it) even though I can't find a blockage in the tubes / y-piece. So I'm gonna replace everything including the nozzles themselves.

I removed my headlight wipers - useless & ugly. I've been told that the head light washers use the same pump as the windscreen washers and if you disconnect the relay for the headlight washers you get all the power of the pump onto your windscreen - handly, especially in the forthcoming weather. Haven't tried it yet but gonna.

'08 Buell XB12Ss - American engineering at it's 'best'... good fun though
