Steve you may well find someone on the SA E30 forum with more info on the model, I'm sure I've seen 333i owners on there.

I can attest that the alpina big brakes when in good order are very good! Pads are £19 from GSF! makes up for how much the discs are!! Will be interesting to see a factory RHD M30 effort compared to how it differs to the DIY approach

not me Stu, I just enjoy collecting scrap, :D

if anyone is a Legend it's Pacer ,
he desperatly wanted to save this car but had way too much on so he called me I went straight down to London to view this turd and when i saw it I had to have it ,
the owner was going to start fragging this weekend and i wasn't going to allow that,

this would NOT have happened without Pacerpete, he did the legwork and supplied Tea and biscuits ! what a truly executive gent !

Barry tried to buy this very car 3 years ago when it was advertised on the BMWCC forum. He spoke to the wife of the owner and left countless other messages but none were returned!

He wanted it badly back then!

I did sort out cheaper compatible discs back in the day if it's any help (about half the cost of the genuine bits).

They looked like this, I might be able to do better ones nowadays as there are more discs to choose from as a "base".

Well maybe I can run you guys a batch if it helps a few people? Were those 300mm.de ones genuine Alpina/BMW or were they replicas (or the Audi-based ones used in some of their kits?)?

I don't think they are genuine looking at them, looks like replicas as well. Here's the comparison:

"Genuine Alpina":

300mm.de replicas:

I know this is a big ask - but does anyone have a front Alpina caliper, carrier and pads I can borrow?

I'd like to change the disc I used, but if there's a snag I don't know about before getting a batch of ten machined (then binned) it will be "painful"!

Dan, your discs, as is the case with most UK Alpinas are just standard E30 fitment.

PS Sorry about the delay with pics, I'll try this weekend :)

How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.
