looks nice jason, a lot different than last time i saw it.
Yeah I think I have past the point of no return, it's snowballed into a full spec track car.

The quality is spot on and Kyle is a busy man so you need to book it in about 1/2 months in advance.

Mccarthy,
I used a scraper and then paint thinners to get the sound deadening off (but it leaves your brain and paintwork a lit bit dull!)
8O

The paintwork may improve with a polish, but at the end of the day its a track car so Im not that bothered tbh.
The brain may take a little longer to return to full strength!

I did try petral which isnt that good, but make sure you use in a well ventilated area blah blah blah.

I did mine with a wide chissel and a heat gun - easy as, one hour later, all gone ( weight gone 21lbs) don't forget behind the rear side panels / wheel arches... Cleaned it up with thinners, got a rattle can of hammerite in white - bish bosh done. 8)

Hey Lloydie. Been wanting to ask about what you have done with the car where the brake ducts and fog lights usually reside. I have bought some mesh for my E30 with the intention of placing this in the hole that is left when ducts and lamps are removed and then doing away with the ducting and plastic shields in front of the wheels altogether. Is this what you have done. If so, should I do the same or keep the ducting set up and just place the mesh where the foggies were?
Any thoughts appreciated..... :)

God I was good winkeye

Anyway, I've removed the fog lights and ducts and replaced with mesh. I'm not sure that the brakes get the air as efficiently as if the ducts were there... I've bought another set of ducts and I'm going to fit them. On Track I use yellow stuff, braded hoses and 5:1 fluid and it takes a real hammering but not had any brake fade...yet. For a cheap brake solution it's kept fairly well ventilated by the B&Q mesh :D

This is mine:

Image

So far it has:

Speedtouch wild chip
Yellowstuff front pads + new discs
KW 60/40 springs
Bilstein B4's (going to swap for some GAZ shocks when funds allow)
4.27 diff
15" BBS wheels
Boot trim and back seats removed
IS front seats
Electric fan conversion

I've done 2 track days in it so far, obviously its not too quick on the straights as it is only a 320 but is great round the bends and can usually make up for the lack of outright pace on the bends :)

Plans for it now are to strip down the rear end and rebuild with new bushes, fit new brake hoses and pipes, and get the few welding patches sorted, then engine conversion sometime next year. So far its cost me less than a grand including buying the car so it's a bit of a budget build really.
