Thanks, here is todays update :)

Replaced the stock a/c fan with a spal pusher fan, and replaced an old fuel hose under the car as I was starting to smell fuel.

Spal fan, nice and quiet at half speed and moves LOTS of air on full speed and still quiter than the stock a/c fan.

Front is on, came out pretty good for a first time doing prep work. Big thanks to Pinepig for shooting the paint/clear!

Got my new targa rs in black suede to replace the old worn/faded cloth seats.

Image

These feel much firmer than the old ones, and hopefully won't fade.

Parking lot was empty so I decided to take a few shots of the car.

Bilstein sport shocks have been packaged and are on the way to bilstein for re-valving to match my gc co rates.

I couldn't help myself, original Hartge 16x7.5 are on the way as well :)

Got a cabrio front sway with new bushings/brackets installed over the weekend along with 3rd oil change and switched the interior a bit to give it a little contract. Perfect timing since I had to replace the door stop/break as it broke, cabrio door stop works/is the same fyi.

Got these installed today and took a couple quick shots. Excuse the dirty car, it hasn't been washed in probably over a month lol.

Tires are falken fk-452 in 225/45 size, wheels are 16x7.5, no spacers. Center caps will be installed a little later, need to make sure they stay on correctly.

Washed, replaced valve cover gasket and took some better pics :)

Next up steering rack swap, sideskirts and proper shocks, i am thinking front will come down an inch and rear maybe 1/2 or so.

I've also got a complete shadow-line trim to install, just need to order some clips first.

Nice pics, but what's that chassis for in the background, and is that a V8 nestling in it? winkeye

Cleaned up the engine bay a little bit. Installed the 318is blower fan cover (has less studs etc).

I need to do something about the intake next, bring it closed to the headlight and make a heatshield of some sort...

Also installed my sport seats to see if I like them or not...

Oem seats, and replaced the broken a/c/radio cover.

Modified strut housings for the re-valved bilstein sports...with e30m3 sway bar tabs..

Looking to test all of this out finally at the last autox of this season on the 26th of this month. I want to see how the suspension/rates work out, and if necessary will
send a backup set of bilstein sports to bilstein to shorten and re-valve for stiffer rates if I feel that current rates aren't stiff enough with dot r tires in the current config.

Couple pics with suspension installed. Not too low, and stiff enough but still dd-able.

So last weekend was final event (not counting Enduro) for sacramento chapter solo2, and I finally made it out to test the car out in it's new configuration. It's been almost a year since I last autocrossed it, and it was with the m10, on different suspension/tires etc.

Me and my friend/co-driver worked the group 3, trying to get an idea on what time we should shoot for in my car. Believe it or not there was a F360 out on course with 3 drivers! That's not something you see everyday! Plenty of muscle, and some really crazy B/D Mod cars! I'll post the rest of the pictures in another thread, to show some other cars :)

After a full season, we set out goal to get somewhere in the 65-60 second window. Well, our first runs were in the 65 second window and we both finished the with 61 second runs, the co-driver beat me in my own car by 0.5 seconds! :o

Car felt really good, no understeer, rotates easy, lots of grip that we just kept discovering through the day. Enough torque to still spin the tires out of the corners. Ended the day running 28psi on the v710s by looking the contact patch wear. The course had only one slalom section after the entrance, but plenty of 90 degree and even 270/360 turns! Was deff. one of the more technical layouts...

All in all very happy with the results. Next week is enduro, meaning 3 2lap practice runs on saturday and 1 5lap run on sunday. I will need to bleed the brakes for that even for sure, and possibly throw some better pads. Currently that's the weakest link on the car, other than me/co-driver getting the full potential out of the car.
