Any ideas how to free the pedal up a bit, its not sticking at all, just harder to press than my previous one. How do you replace the pedal (its breaking off at the base where it hinges). Is it a case of greasing TB or the pedal mechanism or what?

thanks

try opening the throttle (under the bonnet) by hand, if thats not too stiff etc then the problem is likely the cable

thanks everybody will give it a go. I guess for the sake of a tenner its probably worth replacing the throttle cable anyway on a car you know nothing about really.

scott, when you say a refurb on the throttle system, what do you mean?
