I'm hopefully soon going to be having my m52 manifolds modified but i'm wondering what options i have for the rest of the exhaust? What has everyone else done? i have a complete e34 m50 system but don't know wether any of it can be used on an e30?

E30 325 systems are OK.

If you can get an aftermarket stainless system, they will typically have larger bore pipes. I think on an E36 328i, the bore of the stock system is 48mm.

I have fitted an E30 M3 scorpion system and it has 50mm pipes all the way through and I have 50mm down pipes welded upto the 328 manifolds.

Am i rite in thinking that there are different types of 325i exhaust system that were fitted to the e30?

Is it twin pipe in twin pipe out?

iirc Toby unna fitted an E36 328i rear box to his E30.

Anyone know the outside diameter of e30 325i exhaust front section pipes where they come up to the manifold?

How hard are E30 M3 exhausts to get? Is the much involved in mating the M3 exhaust with the m52 manifold?

Would the M3 system be more suited that the 325 one, near enough same power out put from a s14 and a m50/2

They're 45mm OD give or take a few tenths on an OEM 3 piece part.

You can either get a flange made up and weld it to your downpipes (im sure Gareth has a Cad of this) or cut the flange off the system and sleeve it onto the downpipes.

iirc E30 325i system is 46mm OD
