Which exhaust
Moderator: martauto
I'm hopefully soon going to be having my m52 manifolds modified but i'm wondering what options i have for the rest of the exhaust? What has everyone else done? i have a complete e34 m50 system but don't know wether any of it can be used on an e30?

E30 325 systems are OK.
If you can get an aftermarket stainless system, they will typically have larger bore pipes. I think on an E36 328i, the bore of the stock system is 48mm.
I have fitted an E30 M3 scorpion system and it has 50mm pipes all the way through and I have 50mm down pipes welded upto the 328 manifolds.

when i had my m50 done i just used my standard twin 325 sport pipes. and now i have twin stainless it sounds the nuts.
i have a stainless back section for sale from an e36 but dont know if they differ much.

felt so proud, even tried it with a E30 325i and got put in my place..
How hard are E30 M3 exhausts to get? Is the much involved in mating the M3 exhaust with the m52 manifold?
Would the M3 system be more suited that the 325 one, near enough same power out put from a s14 and a m50/2

You can either get a flange made up and weld it to your downpipes (im sure Gareth has a Cad of this) or cut the flange off the system and sleeve it onto the downpipes.Jozi wrote:How hard are E30 M3 exhausts to get? Is the much involved in mating the M3 exhaust with the m52 manifold?

the Exhaust is the only thing I hate about my M50
