brake dust
Moderator: martauto
is there anything i can do to reduce brake dust sticking to my wheels, if you drive around 30 miles in a day the front wheels have went from shiny silver to gunmetal grey. i know this is not the end of the world but id love to know if there is anything you can put on the wheels to reduce brake dust. i was thinking of a parachute on the back like the drag cars

A couple of options:
- BMW pads are bad for dust, try a different brand
- wax the wheels with panel or wheel wax and the dust comes off easily with a damp cloth

Auto Glym resin polish is not a protecting product, its a polish, you need to go over it with either wax or sealant.
I use Poorboys wheel sealant, I gave my wheels 2 coats after cleaning them properly inside and out last year, the dust comes off easy with wash/wax water on a cloth
