No, its a myth, check the parts catalogue and you will see the mount was fitted in pairs and with a square mount depending on vehicle, the square mounts were also fitted in pairs on some cars

if i brought everythnig to do the conversion is there anyone that will but it in to a car for me,

You need these part numbers 11411748150 11411703947 the first one is the pick up pipe and the second one is the gasket

I`v been told as my touring as abs i`v got to look for a air filter is there any other options other than some sort of k&n filter as i bloody hate them. but if i have to as anyone tryed the stealth air filters from Vogue Automotive ?? or should i just get a K&N.

right can someone give me the info on ECU`s as i`v just been told i got the wrong one and need to know which one to get. sigal vanso none ews ecu ??? i think i need.

413 with a maroon label is the correct ECU for a M50B25 with vanos.
Label colour is important - a silver labelled 413 has EWS.

What box are you using Baz? If its an iS box then id opt for a 3.91 with an M50B25
